Cybersecurity Analyst

Location: Various
Cohere Cyber Secure is seeking to fill the role of Cybersecurity Analyst. The role of the cybersecurity analyst is to develop strategies to protect the firm and its clients from cyberthreats and actively develops protocols used to respond to and quell cyberattacks. As a Cybersecurity analyst, your goal is to defend against cybercriminals and hackers seeking to cause damage or steal sensitive information. The role requires a thorough understanding of identifying cyberattacks, malware, ransomware, and the behavior of cybercriminals. Having hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and Vscan technologies are a requirement. The analyst’s primary role is to understand IT infrastructure in detail, monitor it at all times, develop rules to screen false positives, correlate and evaluate threats that could potentially breach the network. The cybersecurity analyst continuously looks for ways to enhance network security and protect its sensitive information. The position will be responsible for consulting our clients in a wide range of security domains, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, information security assessments, and network security. Maintaining proficiency in and awareness of security services, industry trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures are expected. This individual serves a key role in providing a holistic view of an organization’s IT security preparedness and response to cyber threats. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Configuring Tools: This may come in the form of virus software, password protectors, and vulnerability management software. They will evaluate what the company needs and use these tools to protect its information.
  • Reporting: The analyst will detail what is currently going on in the network and evaluate its strengths. One of the skills needed is learning to read these reports. They will show what is well-protected and indicate if there is any unusual activity in the network.
  • Evaluate Weaknesses: No network is fully secure, but the goal is to make it as secure as possible. Part of the job is to continuously test all company networks and find weaknesses before bad actors or external threats can compromise them.
  • Responds to, investigates, and analyzes security events to determine appropriate actions
  • Analyzes security system logs, security tools, and available data sources on a regular basis to identify attacks against the enterprise and report on any irregularities, issues related to improper access patterns, trending, and event correlations and make suggestions for detection rules and system tuning
  • Performs incident response activities and ensure that proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident has been discovered.

Field Services Technician

Location: New York, NY

The role of the Field Service Technician is tasked with delivering the highest levels of customer service. This position includes the delivery customer-related services, including but not limited to; installation of equipment, servicing systems, applications and connectivity.

This targeted individual should be an exceptional problem solver, exudes confidence, be self-motivated, extremely well organized, strong leader and an excellent presenter. The Field Service Technician should have a history of interacting and working under stressful situations, as well as possess exemplary technical skills. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT / Project Manager

The IT/Project Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing new projects and processes for new and existing clients and internal business units. They will manage and coordinate projects and key initiatives from start to finish. Drive enterprise, functional and/or departmental initiatives and ensure project timelines and expectations are met.

The ideal candidate will provide technical project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation projects. Level II Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, problem determination and resolution, of cloud and premised-based systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience providing IT support, Cloud computing, including AWS and Azure environments to the financial services industry and have worked for a Managed Services Provider (MSP).

The Systems Engineer will provide a high level of technical expertise in the planning, evaluation, acquisition, design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network and systems infrastructure. This includes the deployment, operation, administration and management of Window servers, VMWare virtualization, storage systems (SAN), firewalls and support of network-related software and systems. The Systems Engineer will apply problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the availability and performance of IT systems.

The position demands someone who is highly technically competent, detail oriented, and self-motivated to conduct administration and support of systems infrastructure.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective Customer Service by being courteous, polite and friendly toward others at all times.  Acknowledge customers immediately in order to determine need and help the customer resolve issue or request.
  • Operation, Administration and Management (OAM) of the firm’s Cloud computing environments, inclusive of the firm’s internal Cloud, AWS and Azure servers

  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable success with outside sales experience, preferably in the Managed Services, Cloud or Cyber-Security industries
  • Track record of success with “Solution Selling” or other consultative selling models.
  • Must be an aggressive “hunter” with a proven history of generating new business opportunities – if you can consistently develop new business you will benefit from a rewarding sales compensation plan
  • Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results
  • Strong organization, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Provide timely follow-ups to ensure effective closing on all sales opportunities
  • Obtain all pertinent customer information and process all required documentation, to ensure accuracy at the same time providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Must be strong prospecting, negotiating and building relationship skills.
  • Must also be a strong team member, motivated and enthusiastic contributor, who works well as part of a group

Technical Assistant

Location: New York, NY

Cohere Cyber Secure LLC, headquartered in mid-town NYC, and is seeking to fill the role of Technical Assistant. As a trusted outsource of managed IT services, Cohere is focused in serving medium-to-large enterprises, supported by a fully-protected meshed network, Cyber-Defense (Compliance) protection, Cloud (private and public) services, and Next-Gen VoIP Telephony/UC capabilities.

This person’s primary focus is to provide technological assistance/support including the procurement of hardware, porting of numbers, ordering/installation coordination of network elements and testing/replacing of basic hardware. The technical assistant will perform a variety of moderately complex support duties to ensure smooth delivery of services.

This individual should be meticulous in their work habits, provide great attention to detail and put forth above-average problem solving skills. Updates supervisor on status of projects or technical issues. Exercises judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly, and determines when to refer problems to the supervisor or next level of support.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical assistance to engineers and technicians
  • Assist technicians in handling routine customer issues
  • Answer and respond to customer calls and messages
  • Redirect customer calls to corresponding engineers and technicians
  • Assist and support technicians in testing and repairing electronic products and items

Requirements:

  • College graduate or equivalent IT experience
  • One or more years of related technical support experience
  • Procurement experience is a plus
  • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills is a must
  • Ability to multi-task and be successful within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Customer oriented & professional
